From the lab to the loaf
Ariella earned her science degree, with a focus in human nutrition and food science, at the University of Houston. She always had a curiosity about the creation, needs, and workings of the human body. But somewhere between the microscope and the medicine cabinet, she found something deeper: a holistic approach that honors the whole person.
In 2000 she earned her Diploma in Ayurvedic Science from the Ayurveda Institute of America (AIA), the 4,000-year-old ancient science of harmony, and as a holistic practitioner and advocate for preventive healthcare, the go-to in the Houston community for natural and science-based guidance on healthy living and wellbeing.
AahSpoonFul grew out of that calling. Unable to find natural and affordable skin and personal care for the people she cared for, she created her own, blending plant-based wisdom with lab-grade rigor, one small batch at a time.

How every bar is crafted

Cold Process Method
Hand poured and cut, our bars keep the natural glycerin commercial soap strips away, so they nourish instead of dry.
Cured slowly with time
Every loaf cures for four to six weeks to create the mildest, long-lasting bar. No factory lines, just careful, small-batch crafted.
Nothing to hide
Every oil, clay, and botanical is listed. IFRA-compliant scents, no hidden sulfates or parabens, and guidance on how to use each one.
